WHAT'S HAPPENING:
- BUILDING CODE EDITION - Grays Harbor County currently follows the 2018 editions of the IBC, IRC, IFC, IMC, IFGC, Uniform Plumbing Code and Washington State Energy Codes. Please Note: The 2021 editions of the above listed Codes with the addition of the newly adopted WUIC go into effect July 1, 2023. The Washing State Building Code Council has delayed the effective date of the code adoption to October 29, 2023.
- CANNABIS MORATORIUM - Effective Tuesday, April 4, 2023, the cannabis moratorium is hereby lifted and new cannabis facilities are now regulated per Ordinance 482.
- SHORELINE MASTER PROGRAM - 2023 Periodic Update - Grays Harbor County is accepting comments on proposed amendments to the County's SMP between March 2nd, 2023 and April 5th, 2023. More information is found on the Shoreline Master Program page.
- BURN RESTRICTION LIFTED - Effective 12:01 AM, Tuesday, October 25, 2022, all restrictions on outdoor burning have been lifted in Grays Harbor County. More information is found on the Fire Marshal homepage.
- ONLINE PERMITTING - Since July 25, 2022 we have been accepting permit applications online through our permitting platform called SmartGov. With the Online Portal you can review historic permits, parcel information, submit applications, make payments, track application status', request inspections, and more. - SUBDIVISION - On June 28, 2022, Grays Harbor County adopted Ordinance 474 related to Title 16 to include removal of Submittal Checklists from the County Code in addition to other minor changes. Please contact a Planner at 360-249-4222, if you have any questions.
