NEW!

  • The implementation of the 2021 Wildland Urban Interface Code has been postponed awaiting the creation of new mapping by the Washington State Department of Natural Resources.  This process is anticipated to take 1-2 years after which the County will have up to 6 months to implement the code.  Please revisit this site regarding updates on this issue.
  • The Washington State Building Code Council has implemented the 2021 edition of the International Codes on March 15, 2024. Any complete application for a Building Permit (Step 3 of Grays Harbor County's permit process) that was submitted on or after March 15, 2024 must be in compliance with the new Codes.  Any project application that was submitted as part of Step 1 or Step 2 on or before March 14, 2024 is not eligible for being reviewed under the previous (2018 edition) Codes for Step 3.
